Connect for SOS Fundraiser – October 2023
October 1 @ 9:00 am - October 31 @ 3:00 pm

Connection is crucial for our mental health but sometimes time and geography can interfere with our connections with the people who are important in our lives.
To mark World Mental Health Month this October and highlight the importance of connection for our mental health, Suicide or Survive is running a virtual fundraiser and awareness campaign. Our ask is that you connect with family, friends, or work colleagues in villages, towns, and cities across the country, mapping the distance between you and them while raising funds by virtually walking, running, cycling, or swimming from your location to theirs over the course of the month.
Just like with your mental health, you don’t have to go it alone, you can share the journey and lighten the load. You can take on this challenge as a group, sharing the load by dividing the kilometres between you, or asking your family members, friends, or work colleagues to meet you half way on the journey.
Sign up today: Register your challenge here – Donorbox page
Once registered, total the Km’s to your chosen location and start your journey.
You can track your km’s on the Strava app and add your progress to your personal online fundraising page so that your supporters can follow your journey
Get sponsored for each Km you cover. SOS will support you all the way on your challenge with fundraiser packs, posters, collection buckets, and promoting your fundraiser across our socials and on our website.
Spread the word about your journey to #ConnectforSOS on your socials and help us raise funds and awareness of SOS and the work that we do.
