Sky Ireland continue to do some amazing work with Suicide or Survive (SOS) as their chosen charity partner. Along with the amazing support, fundraising and awareness campaigns that SOS deliver into Sky, Sky have been taking even more steps to support the mental health and awareness to its staff. The team in Sky are in the process of upskilling their own WRAP facilitators, so they can run the programme in their HQ in Dublin 4.
Many staff have had the experience of attending WRAP on public courses and found it extremely beneficial. Such has been the enthusiasm for the WRAP programme from Sky staff that had attended, that Sky Ireland are in the process of developing three of their own staff members as WRAP facilitators.
Rona McBrierty has been mentoring these Sky team members and in turn it means that the WRAP program will be more accessible to all staff onsite.

We all really love the WRAP programme ourselves and have always been promoting it but having the program available in house means that we can make it more easily available to a huge number of people with the usual scheduling issues that could arise. The Sky team ran their first internal WRAP programme with Rona leading as facilitator and mentor on Feb 20th & 21st 2020. The feedback could not have been more positive from that programme and this tells us that there is a real gra for it.
Feedback from our first session included ‘I think it should be mandatory in Sky, everyone would benefit from this’
and one person added that they ‘recommend everyone to take this course’.
The mentoring programme continues with Rona’s support later this month and throughout the Spring / Summer of 2020.
